Dr. Margaret
Acton
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Margaret Acton attended the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania where she played collegiate volleyball, graduated with a Bachelors in psychology, and later obtained her doctorate in physical therapy in 2017.
Margaret has a strong background treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics. Additionally, Margaret has advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders.
Margaret has a special interest in treating runners and other fitness athletes. Her treatments incorporate many techniques; manual therapy, neuro-muscular re-education, and progressive overload to improve strength. She believes a patient-centered approach to treatment is the most effective form of rehabilitation from pain and throughout this treatment will keep you engaged and challenged.
When not treating patients, Margaret loves staying active -running, golf, tennis, working out. She likes to nerd out over books and movies, and frequently attempts cooking with mostly good results.
